Lao Family is one of several community organizations providing linguistically and culturally appropriate outreach into the community in order to expand the county’s mental health services to all who need them.
As a part of a Full Service Partnership,Lao Family staff perform outreach and education in San Joaquin County’s Hmong community,helping people get the assistance they need.
Available Mental Health Services include:
- The Trans-cultural Clinic,providing outpatient mental health counseling to Southeast Asians in the Cambodian,Hmong,Laotian and Vietnamese languages.
- Services for older adults,including transitional care facilities,peer counseling and life-skills training.
- Services for children,including school-based services,crisis services and shelter support
- Adult services,including inpatient and outpatient treatment services,crisis intervention,re-entry programs and more.
